17-20/07 - Saas Fee Zermatt, Swiss Tour Monte Rosa - In collaboration with Touring Monkeys

Un splendide trek de 4 jours entre Saas Fee et Zermatt jusqu'au majestueux Cervin, le long des sentiers d'altitudes du Balfrin et de l'Europaweg. Nuits en refuge en demi-pension / A splendid trek from Saas Fee to Zermatt and the majestic Matterhorn, along the Balfrin and Europaweg altitude trails. Nights in mountain huts.

Itinéraire / Itinerary: 

- Jour 1 / Day 1: 18km; D+ 1250m; D- 1400m

De Saas Fee à Grächen via le superbe et aérien sentier en balcon de Balfrin. Nuit à Grächen au gite Allalin / From Saas Fee to Grächen via the aerial and spectacular Balfrin balcony trail. Night at Grächen Allalin guest house.

- Jour 2 / Day 2: 13km; D+ 1200m; D- 500m

De Grächen nous prendrons le bus pour Randa, d'où nous entamerons la montée jusqu'au pont suspendu Charles Kuonen, le plus long pont suspendu piétonnier du monde, puis le long de l'Europaweg jusqu'à l'alpage de Täschalp (2157m) ou nous passerons la nuit à la cabane Europaweg / From Grächen we will take the bus to Randa, where we will climb to the suspension bridge Charles Kuonen, the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world, then along the Europaweg to Täschalp (2157m) where we will spend the night at the Europaweg hut.

NB: suite à des éboulements, le sentier de l'Europaweg entre Grachen et l'Europahutte est fermé, nécessitant d'adapter l'itinéraire du jour 2 en passant par Randa / Due to landslides on the Europaweg trail between Grachen and the Europahutte, the itinirary on day 2 has been adapted.

- Jour 3 / Day 3: 14km; D+ 1000m; D- 900m

De Täschalp nous poursuivrons sur l'Europaweg en direction de Zermatt avant de remonter jusqu'à l'Hotel d'altitude Trift (2337m) ou nous passerons la nuit / From Täschalp we will hike along the Europaweg all the way to Zermatt from where we will climb up to the Hotel Trift (2337m).

- Jour 4 / Day 4:      17km; D+ 600m; D- 1300m

De l’hotel Trift nous emprunterons le sentier des Edelweis (Höhbalmen). Ce sentier en balcon offre l’un des plus beaux panoramas de Zermatt et une vue spectaculaire sur ses principaux 4000m : face nord du Cervin, Breithorn, Liskamm, Monte Rosa... Puis nous redescendrons jusqu’à la moraine du glacier de Zmutt, avant de rentre sur Zermatt via le charmant village de Zmutt / From the Trift hotel we will hike along the Edelweis path (Höhbalmen). This balcony trail offers one of the most beautiful panoramas of Zermatt and a spectacular view of its main 4000m: north face of the Matterhorn, Breithorn, Liskamm, Monte Rosa ... We will then descend to the Zmutt glacier moraine, before returning to Zermatt via the charming village of Zmutt.
